Start with this check.
First check Sent in the same account through a browser. If the email is absent, try a new one-line message without attachments. This separates an attachment problem from a general sending failure.
Do not repeatedly press send or clear Gmail storage: you could create duplicates or lose local drafts. Keep the text and original files before editing the pending message.
Which situation matches yours?
Let’s go step by step.
0 of 5 checks completedMark each check to keep track during this visit.
Confirm the account and status
Open Gmail in a browser, verify the account address and search Sent for the subject. Check for a bounce email. Record subject and time without copying private content into diagnostic tools.
If it is marked sent, check with the recipient before sending again. A rejection needs the notice’s reason, not repeated blind attempts.
Send a minimal test
Create a new email without attachments or a complex signature, addressed to yourself or an informed contact. Use a different subject from the original. Leave the pending message intact for now.
If the simple email sends, investigate the original content or attachment. If it also fails, continue with account, connection and app checks.
Compare the network and web version
Open a new web page to check Internet access. If possible, repeat the minimal test on another network and in Gmail web using the same account. Avoid sending the original document from several places at once.
Working on the web but not Android points towards the app workflow. Failure in both calls for checking account warnings.
Review upload progress and space
If only an attachment fails, check upload progress and account storage. Gmail may finish uploading in the background before sending. Keep the original before removing or reattaching an unfinished file.
If text works but the file does not, a password change does not explain that difference. Continue with the attachment guide.
Update and check syncing
Update Gmail and review syncing for the affected account. Check free phone storage too. Save your work and restart if the app remains stuck; then check Sent before trying again.
Aim to confirm one successful send and its result. If only the app still fails, keep that comparison for support.
When to stop and ask for help
A sending limit, block or bounce needs the help associated with that notice. For a work account, give the administrator the time and code, not passwords. Do not remove the account without preserving needed drafts.
Does a step differ from what you see? →Common questions
Does queued mean the recipient blocked me?
That conclusion is not supported. It describes a pending send on your side; rejection may produce a separate notice.
Is clearing cache the same as clearing storage?
No. Clearing storage can remove drafts and local settings. It is not an initial check in this guide.
Can I send again from the browser?
Check Sent first and coordinate the send to avoid duplicates. If you use the web, also check the pending message in the app.
