Start with this check.
Identify the two apps taking most of your time and try a limit or a focus schedule. If opening apps still feels automatic, consider the text home screen in minimalist phone. Check its price and how to exit before enabling it.
Keep calls, alarms, maps, authenticators and essential work tools accessible. Do not enable long blocks or special permissions without understanding them. minimalist phone is paid software; uninstalling it does not by itself cancel a subscription.
Which situation matches yours?
Let’s go step by step.
0 of 8 checks completedMark each check to keep track during this visit.
Record your starting point
Open Settings → Digital Wellbeing and review time by app. Names and availability depend on the phone. Note several days of use and choose one situation, such as avoiding videos during breakfast.
Choose a change you can check. Cutting twenty minutes from one app is an example of a personal goal, not a universal recommendation or a guaranteed outcome.
Try a free tool first
In Digital Wellbeing, set an app timer or schedule Focus mode. Timers reset at midnight; Focus mode pauses selected apps and their notifications.
Make sure no essential tool is included. Try the setting for a few days before adding more restrictions.
Understand what a launcher changes
minimalist phone for Android replaces the home screen with a simple interface using app names. It also offers reminders, opening delays and blocking. Check current features on the developer website and follow its installation link.
Changing your home screen does not delete photos or apps. It does not automatically remove ads inside other apps either. This guide covers the Android launcher; other platforms work differently.
Review the trial before accepting
The official help page advertises a seven-day trial. Check the offer on your screen: plan, amount, billing date and purchasing account or channel. Keep the receipt and set a reminder before the trial expires.
We do not describe it as a free launcher. Review the terms shown at purchase before accepting them.
Enable only what you need and check essential access
Choose the launcher as your home app when Android asks. Start with one or two apps you want to open less and read the explanation for each permission. Locate Phone, Clock, Settings and your authenticator; keep them out of your blocks.
Check that you can return home, open your everyday tools and receive a normal call. Do not start by testing a long block.
Check whether it helps in practice
After a week, compare similar days with your earlier notes. Also assess your chosen situation, such as having breakfast without videos. If you simply spend more time in another app, adjust the goal before installing more tools.
Keep only the features that help. A fall in screen time after installation does not prove the launcher caused the entire change.
Restore your previous home screen
The minimalist phone help page says to open the app list, tap the gear and choose More → Exit to exit and uninstall. If you enabled an administrator mode, follow its specific instructions first. You can also restore your home app through Android default app settings; the menu name depends on the manufacturer.
Restoring your home screen does not cancel billing. Review the next step even if you no longer use the app.
Confirm cancellation when needed
Depending on how you purchased, check More → My Payments in minimalist phone or Google Play → profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Use the route matching your purchase and keep the cancellation confirmation.
Check the end date and whether renewal remains scheduled. A refund request is not the same as a confirmed cancellation.
When to stop and ask for help
If a restriction prevents essential use, restore your home screen and disable that restriction. On a work-managed or family-managed phone, ask the administrator before changing its controls.
